The Myrtle Beach 400 is just a couple days away and we have all the info you need to be up to speed as a competitor heading to the track this weekend. We have the weekend schedule as well as competitor info below.

Myrtle Beach 400 Weekend Schedule
(NWAAS Late Models – Plus – Touring Style Modifieds)

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16th:
12:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Registrations and parking of haulers. Start practice tire mounting. NO QUALIFYING TIRES
5:00pm Pit are closed. Good night be safe see you tomorrow

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17th :
7:00 am – 8:00 am: Registrations and parking of haulers. Start practice tire mounting. NO QUALIFYING TIRES
8:00 am – 8:30 am: Late Models and Modified Drivers, Crew Chief or Team Representative Meeting
8:45 am – 11:30 am: Modified Inspection and Qualifying tires are to be mounted at the tire impound.
o Carburetor removed/disassembled for inspection at the tech shed and cars will be inspected in their pit area
8:45 am – 12:30 pm: Late Model Inspection and Qualifying tires are to be mounted at the tire impound
o Carburetor removed/disassembled for inspection at the tech shed and cars will come though the inspection area
11:45 am – 12:30 pm: Modified Practice (must have a transponder)
12:30 pm – 1:15 pm: Late Model Practice (must have a transponder)
1:15 pm – 2:00 pm: Modified Practice (must have a transponder)
2:00 pm – 2:45 pm: Late Model Practice (must have a transponder)
2:45 pm – 3:30 pm: Modified Practice (must have a transponder)
3:30 pm – 4:15 pm: Late Model Practice (must have a transponder)
4:15 pm – 5:00 pm: Modified Practice (must have a transponder)
5:00 pm – 5:45 pm: Late Model Practice (must have a transponder)
5:45 pm – 6:30 pm: Modified Final Practice (must have a transponder)
6:30 pm – 7:15 pm: Late Model Final Practice (must have a transponder)
7:30 pm: Pits are closed. Good night be safe see you tomorrow

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18th:
7:00 am – 7:30 am: Pit Gate sign-in
7:45 am – 8:15 am: Late Model and Modified Drivers Meeting (mandatory)
8:30 am – 9:00 am: Modified Final Practice (must have a transponder)
9:00 am – 9:30 am: Release Modified Qualifying tires to each team
9:00 am – 9:30 am: Late Model Final Practice (must have a transponder)
9:30 am – 10:00 am: Release Late Model Qualifying tires to pit road
9:30 am – 11:00 am: Modified Qualifying tech line opens – all cars in line at this time and will be lined up on pit road
10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Late Model Qualifying tech line opens – all cars in line at this time
11:00 am – 11:30 am: Modified Qualifying, Euro Style 5 cars at a time on the track for 5 laps
o Each team’s fastest time will set the starting line-up for the 43 cars feature race (All cars will be impounded)
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Late Model Qualifying, single car qualifying green, white, checkered
o The top 16 positions will be set from qualifying times.
o Positions 17-36 will race into the feature from the two 25 lap qualifying races. (Top 10 transfer from each)
o Positions 37-42 reserved for Beach Madness eligible drivers. If not needed, these spots will be promoter’s options.
o Position 43 reserved for a provisional.
1:00 pm – 1:30 pm: Late Models and Modifieds move to front stretch for Fan Meet & Greet
1:30 pm – 2:00 pm Fan Meet & Greet (Officials to the start finish line to greet fans)
2:15 pm – 2:30 pm: National Anthem
2:45 pm – 3:30 pm: Late Model 25 lap qualifying races
o Cars that transfer can put up to 4 new sticker tires OR 4 scuffs for the race. These four tires
must be purchased Friday or Saturday from MBS and checked in to the tire official at impound.
3:45 pm – 5:00 pm: Modified Feature, 125 laps, driver introduction with drivers in the cars on the front stretch
o Segment cautions at lap 50, 75, and 100. $500 awarded to leader at each segment.
5:15 pm Late Model 225 laps, driver introduction with drivers in the cars on the front stretch
o Break at lap 125 for 10 minutes for adjustments, fuel and up to 4 new sticker tires.
o The final 25 laps will be run under the green flag.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19th: (Rain Date if Needed)

(Late Models on pit road – 2 cars per pit stall at a 45 degree angle)(Modifieds will be behind their Transporter)

All teams must be inspected and have a transponder for the car for the entire weekend. You will not be permitted to practice or race without a transponder or inspection sticker.

Entry fees and all driver paperwork will be completed prior to the car coming through tech line.

All LMSC teams must bring the car to technical inspection line with the following: See Schedule for times
1. The driver and all safety items
2. Carburetor removed and disassembled for inspection and taken to the tech building.
o Chevy Built: 500 carb – 3075 lbs. / 1365 lbs.
o Ford Built: 500 carb – 3100 lbs. / 1390 lbs.
o Dodge Built: 500 carb – 3100 lbs. / 1400, 1420 lbs.
o Ford Crate: 650 carb – 3100 lbs. / 1400 lbs.
o Ford Crate: 390 carb – 3100 lbs. / 1375 lbs
o Chevy Crate: 390 or 650 carb – 3050 lbs. / 1375 lbs.

All Modified teams will be inspected at their transporter pit area and must have the following: See Schedule for times
1. The driver and all safety items
2. Carburetor removed and disassembled for inspection and taken to the tech building.

Practice – Cars will line up at the end of pit road and race control will monitor and release up to 15 cars at a time.

Each team must have a spotter in the spotters stand on Friday, with the car on pit road during qualifying and on the spotters stand during the qualifying races and the feature event.

No recording devices permitted, such as cameras, timers, computers, etc.

All Late Models must have all NASCAR Whelen contingency program decals.

All qualifying tires will be kept in the impound area. Only track approved air in the impound area, no nitrogen.

Late Model and Modified qualifing tires will be distributed on Saturday during qualifying technical inspection.

Late Models your 4 qualifying tires will also be used in the first portion of the main event for those who advance OR for the Qualifying Race for those who don’t advance from qualifying. Teams will have the option of buying up to 4 new tires after your qualifying race or checking in 4 scuffs purchased Friday or Saturday. Officials will coordinate this with each team.

Late Models qualifying session
o Single Car Qualifying (Green, White, Checkered)
o The top 16 of the main event will be set after qualifying. P17-P36 decided from two 25 lap qualifying races. P37 – P42 will be Daytona 1 Beach Madness drivers. If not needed, these spots will be promoter’s choice. P43 will be reserved for a provisional spot.
o All cars who don’t make the feature from qualifying will line up for qualifying races. The top ten finishers from each race will advance to the main event.
o All teams who make the main event will be allowed to purchase up to 4 new tires for the break at lap 125
o All cars will be impounded

Modifieds will qualify and start the race on the same 4 tires.
o 5 cars at a time on the track for 5 laps
o Each team’s fastest time will set the starting line-up for the feature race
o All cars will be impounded after qualifying
o Each team may purchase up to 2 new tires for the feature race to be used at teams’ discretion on a segment
caution.
o Segment cautions will take place at lap 50, 75, and 100 with the leader at time of each caution receiving $500.
o Each segment caution will be timed and it will be teams’ decision to pit for tires, fuel, or adjustments. Pitting will forfeit your on track position.

You should add extra air in the tires because you can only let air out once the tires leave the impound area.

The only items allowed in the impound area will be an air gauge, tape measure, stagger gauge and tire roller. (No air tanks, air dryers, nitrogen bottles, boxes, containers, etc.)

Flats, bent wheels, etc. may be replaced with used tires purchased only at this event.
