The Myrtle Beach 400 in 2017 will mark the 25th running of the historic event. The event is considered by many to be the end of the Late Model racing season in the Southeast. Some of the biggest names in short track racing have competed in the event over the years and this year will be no different. For the first time the race will be broadcast on national television on MAVTV. The Late Model and Modified races, along with highlights from the support divisions will be shown in two, 2-hour shows to be aired in December.

First contested in 1983, the Myrtle Beach 400 has been the crown jewel of the racing season at Myrtle Beach Speedway and has provided race teams an opportunity to have a racecation to end their race year in one of the top vacation destinations in the country.

This event will be a showcase of the best of Southeast racing and the best of what Myrtle Beach has to offer. The race will feature a commemorative race program honoring the 25th running and looking at each of the races that has been contested.
