McCallister Precision Marketing (MPM) and Nesbitt Racing Enterprises announce a sixth top 5 finish in the first seven races for 14 year old Cole Glasson in the #12 ProSoap / AM Technical Solutions / Driven Steering Wheels truck at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. Cole struggled in practice with middle of the pack practice times but the team made some changes that allowed Cole to post the fastest first lap of any of the field but a mistake coming out of Turn 4 cost him the pole position by 4/100th’s of a second giving him a P2 qualifying effort which is his best to date.

Cole would start P4 after the dice roll and would run the first half of the race in P3 before a caution came out. On the restart, Cole would maintain the position for a few more laps and then would find himself falling backwards in the lead pack and ending up finishing 6th for the night. A post-race technical infraction would give Cole an official 5th place finish. While the finish was disappointing, it was good enough to move back into the 2nd place position in the Championship race and extend the lead over 3rd place by 5 points in what is sure to be a tight point’s race until the last race of the season.

Glasson stated, “We had a really fast truck in qualifying and I made slight mistake on my second lap that cost us pole position. During the race we lost the truck some and did not have quite the finish I think we were capable of so we will continue to work on that.” He went on to thank his sponsors of ProSoap, AM Technical Solutions, MPM Marketing, Driven Steering Wheels, K1RaceGear, Dallas Karting Complex, Comet Cleaners, American Workshop and Real Sports Websites.

Tonya McCallister, Glasson’s agent, states “We had a great point’s night and made some gains in qualifying as we had a real shot for a pole position but we came up short.”  Martin Nesbitt, Team owner, went on to say, “While we wish we had a better truck deep into the race, we did make some gains in the championship race and need to stay consistent with our top five finishes and keep striving for the win.”
