The Back to School Night at the races at Ace Speedway was looking very promising at first, with blue skies and blazing hot temperatures. Although the car count was slim, the level of competition was great as always.

A few driver interviews were executed in that time, one of those was Ross “Boo Boo” Dalton, a Ace Speedway and well-respected Limited Late Model competitor in the area. Dalton was asked of how important track position is at Ace.

“Even though we got the pole and got some extra money, the invert sets the race up and we were so confident in the speed of the race car.”

Dalton is fast always at Ace Speedway, in  qualifying it was no different, he(Dalton) got the pole by two tenths of a second. Dylan Ward was on the entry list, but he was not in his Ward Performance #7, Ward was behind the wheel of the Noah Triplett #70.

Jaime York, son of Ace Speedway Late Model regular Jason York was on hand, Tony Black, Jacob Borst and Brad Kurth were on the entry list as well.

The night was rained out just after a hand full of laps were completed in the U-Car race which was the opening act of the night.

Race fans in the stands and drivers and crew members in the pits were advised to keep their armbands til the next race.

Next race at Ace Speedway will take place on September 1st. $1000 to win Limited Late Model, the 602 Modifieds and more will be announced at a later date.
